        The Trainees and the younger Infinity Force members look at Magni as he speaks. A feeling of dread comes over Shift, who calmly takes a step back.

        I can lift quite a bit, Comet Girl cheerfully announces, Sempai has measured me at fifty tons!

        Magni grins. He cracks his knuckles, shrugs off his coat, and shoves it into Silvers arms.

        Excellent, he says, Can you spar? Its been ages since Ive been able to grapple with someone in my strength class!

        Try a week since I kicked your ass, Mari mutters.

        Magni glares at her, and she sticks her tongue out in response. He ignores her, cracking his knuckles in such a way to flex his own impressive biceps, tightening the leather straps on his gloves.

        Comet Girl, herself, simply steps back, and levels her open hands in a fighting stance.

        Oh this cant end well, Alex sighs.

        Magni kicks off, the force of it driving up the ground behind him, jumping towards Comet Girl with his left first brought back to drive all of his class-50 strength directly at his opponent.

        Eyes lock, and for a moment Magni sees that despite the fact that he is diving right down at her, with the same strength he used to stalemate the Omega

        She is still smilingand she catches his arm.

        Its the cheerful tone which prevents Magni from holding it against her when she launches him with a right hook. He flies, into one of the buses, tipping it over and taking it with him as he careens into the nearby lake and comes to a stop at the other side.

        Mari is actually rendered speechless, staring down the trail of destruction that Magni has left in his wake, and turns to Yuka.

        Did I hit him too hard, she asks.

        Nah, Shift responds, You hit him just right.

        There is a crack of thunder, despite the clear sky overhead.

        Ah, nuts, Silver says, Whered he even pack that Hammer, anyway?

        Magni launches himself from the lake, landing feet away from Comet Girl. In his hand, still hot from having traveled across state at supersonic speeds is his throwing hammer.

        IT IS ON NOW!

        Comet Girls eyes go wide. Inwardly, shes something of a nice girl-her massive physical powers are the main reason she isnt a liability in combat, combined with her deep seeded sense of justice.

        Smacking around supervillains? Shes supposed to do that. But a fellow hero?

        Unthinkable.

        But he is holding a throwing hammer which is crackling with electricity. He is charging at her, intent on attacking her.

        This is supposed to be a friendly spar-and she did tell him what her physical abilities are, at least those that she knows of. So, she rationalizes it-he doesnt look hurt, except in pride.

        Pride can always be repaired.

        So she flies, full force, at Magni, the relative force of her impact magnified by her breaking the sound barrier right before she hits him. Its enough force to tip the other buses over.

        It is enough force to knock Magni unconscious, and drop the hammer.

        It is enough force to actually knock the hammer, which itself weighs fifteen tons, out of Magnis hand in mid swing.

        The hammer falls head-first next to the duffle, the force of impact launching it like chubby kid jumping on a see-saw. It hits something with a loud crackand that is when everyone sees Vatha on the ground.

        Alex reacts first, running to his friend, the others following, as Yuka simply stands, dumbstruck.

        She tries to comprehend exactly what has happenedand failing that, collapses into unconsciousness.

        Someone out in the Oort cloud, a silver disc hovers near the elliptical orbit of Pluto.

        It is an emissary of the Mucarr empire, a collective of disparate races who once existed under the yoke of the Therathi empire. Onboard its bridge, a grouping of standing flat display panels positioned around a gold pillar serving as the ships power source, a squat, gray humanoid with an enlarged head and black eyes waddles.

        It speaks in a series of squeaks, and the other crew members, also members of its species, respond the same. It is their language, although they use translators installed on their encounter suits when they interact with other races. Due to their nature and psychic powers, this race of Grays usually prefers to walk around naked. That and their lack of exterior genetalia.

        Their current task is the monitoring of the third planet in the Sol system. Despite what many humans believe, Earth has a reputation in the universe at large, or at least in the area of the nearest five galaxies. They have repelled the last remnants of the Martians, encountered the Templar, and withstood an onslaught from Heaven.

        Not bad for a world dominated by a single sapien race stuck in Industrial phase.

        Their task, should Earth been deemed capable, was to find its largest city, land, and offer Earth a chance to join the Mucarr empire. Given the nature of the Grays, and their resemblance to the Martians and 50s science fiction aliens, they would have probably not gotten a warm reception.

        However, this is moot. They simply had the bad luck to be in front of Zeromus when he flew into the Sol System on his flight to Earth.
